Position Summary:
As the Program Coordinator, you will act as a coach for building owners enrolled in the Building Transformation Program. You will be their main point of contact to educate and support building owners through the deep retrofit process and liaise with members across all teams to remove any barriers for program participants along the way. This role involves building strong relationships with building owners, managing program deliverables, and ensuring program goals align with individual participant goals. This position is ideal for an individual who possesses a strong passion for sustainability and building science, is skilled in collaboration, and is committed to advancing long-term energy efficiency objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the program team to ensure the successful implementation of all ReCover programs. This involves managing relationships with building owners and overseeing the delivery of program objectives.
- Actively engage with program participants to support deep retrofit projects by educating them about energy-efficient upgrades and assisting them in navigating incentive programs.
- Align the overarching program goals with the specific objectives of individual participants, helping program participants understand the long-term benefits playing a key role in reaching successful outcomes.
- Assist building owners throughout the Request for Proposal (RFP) process and collaborate with external consultants on conducting feasibility studies.
- Maintain consistent and transparent communication with participants, team members, and external stakeholders to ensure all parties remain informed throughout all phases of the program.
- Identify, verify, and assist building owners in applying to funding sources, including grants, rebates, and financing requirements, to optimize program resources available to participants.
Qualifications and Skills:
The ideal candidate is passionate about sustainability and energy-efficient practices, with a background in building management, building science, architecture, engineering, energy auditing, or a property management role involving decision making for building upgrades. They excel in organization, managing timelines, and communications effectively. With a customer-focused approach, they aim to maximize participant benefits and ensure program success. They possess strong problem-solving skills to meet the needs of building owners. The candidate should also demonstrate a successful history of working with diverse teams to achieve program goals and support participants effectively.
Required experience includes a bachelor’s degree or a diploma in Sustainability, Construction Technology, or a related field; a master’s degree in a related field is considered an asset. Proficiency with project management tools for tracking deliverables and timelines is essential, as is the ability to communicate technical information in an accessible way. Experience in managing multi-phase projects for timely completion and stakeholder alignment with milestones, along with knowledge of energy efficiency concepts and deep retrofits, is beneficial. Desirable skills include grant writing and knowledge of funding structures and financial incentives for deep retrofits.
