Over the decades, their facilities have grown into a large, modern manufacturing plant equipped with state-of-the-art CNC machines, CAD software, and advanced finishing equipment. As one of the largest custom shops in Atlantic Canada, they specialize in producing high-quality millwork, custom casework, architectural woodwork, and finish carpentry, primarily serving commercial and institutional customers in the construction industry across Atlantic Canada and New England. On their behalf, we are seeking a Project Manager to join a dynamic team committed to excellence. This full-time, permanent role involves leading projects to successful completion by ensuring they stay on budget, on schedule, and exceed client expectations. With opportunities for professional growth, including potential advancement to Senior Project Manager and eligibility for the Management Team, this position is ideal for ambitious and resourceful professionals. Key Responsibilities
- Project Management:
Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of project scope and objectives while creating and maintaining detailed project documentation. Develop and manage intricate project schedules and work plans, ensuring alignment with timelines and objectives. Oversee procurement activities, including material purchasing and order tracking, to support seamless project execution. - Client Engagement:
Foster strong client relationships by managing daily communications, setting and aligning expectations, and delivering exceptional service. Cultivate trust and collaboration with client personnel while proactively identifying opportunities for business development and value-added sales. - Strategic Problem-Solving:
Effectively address and resolve challenges with a solutions-oriented approach, escalating complex issues when necessary. Implement innovative strategies to reduce waste, improve operational efficiencies, and enhance project outcomes. Stay abreast of emerging technologies to integrate cutting-edge solutions into project processes.
Requirements and Benefits
The ideal candidate will bring expertise in AutoCAD, with post-secondary education in a related field considered an asset. Proficiency in Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and experience in finish carpentry or cabinet making are valuable additional qualifications. Success in this role requires a logical and analytical approach to problem-solving, strong technical aptitude, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. A high level of organization, reliability, self-motivation, and proactivity are essential, along with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
