At Venor, we are storytellers, networkers, trusted advisors. We are researchers, mentors and talent experts. And, above all, we are committed to the success of the business community in Atlantic Canada.

Venor is a leading talent firm in Atlantic Canada with the most prominent IT recruitment practice in the region. Attracting elusive tech talent has been a hallmark of our business since we started almost ten years ago

Our bustling tech ecosystem is poised for even more growth in 2021, with an eclectic mix of emerging startups, surging scaleups, and expanding international brands, all looking to compete with the already established employers in our region. At Venor, we pride ourselves on being talent partners, helping our clients build human capital strategies over and above the recruitment projects they outsource to us. We work hard to earn trust, then we need to continually deliver quality results in order to keep it.

In keeping with that commitment, we’re recruiting for a Recruitment Administrator to work out of the Venor HQ in Halifax. This is an opportunity for someone who wants to use their exceptional administrative and research skills while immersing themselves in the dynamics of the local technology sector.

What you’ll be doing:

Every day is different at Venor. You’ll be working with the tech recruitment practice team, playing a key role supporting day-to-day operations. Sometimes your focus could be configuring and running reports in our internal CRM, while other days you might be conducting market research for global leaders in software development. We help clients fill gaps, and right now the gaps we can use help with are:

Administration – managing candidate and client data in our CRM, building reports and monitoring KPIs, managing memberships, coordinating schedules/events, tracking timelines, and taking notes. You’ll be hyper-organized, a master multitasker, and have great attention to detail. Venor moves at a fast pace and you’ll help us keep up.

Research – using your proven research skills you can help us uncover digital candidate profiles and online sources of talent. You can find a needle in a haystack… or, better yet, know the boolean strings to uncover that hidden gem on Linkedin. You’ll stay on top of recruitment/tech trends and be able to present your findings using the appropriate medium.

Writing – drafting job descriptions, writing proposals, editing/proofing documents, managing social media or, if you are inspired, contributing to our company’s blog. You are an expert with written communication.

Recruitment Support – checking references, tracking projects, and keeping everyone on the same page is all in a day’s work.

We’re looking for someone who wants to learn from industry leaders and

play an important role on a small, dynamic team by helping us with processes and administration.

What’s in it for you?

Impact: we’re a scrappy, entrepreneurial organization that’s approaching a decade since its inception. Everyone’s contribution is valued and meaningful.

Meaning: our networks allow us to connect talent to purpose. The impact of our efforts leads to satisfied employees and employers in Atlantic Canada.

Flexibility: we have a fun, informal office environment with flexible work arrangements available.

At Venor, we value and celebrate diversity. We welcome applications from all individuals of any race, color, religion, gender identity, orientation, national origin, or disability status.

If you have a passion for implementing systems/processes that make life easier, are analytical by nature, and want to make an impact with a fast-growing team, this could be for you. To learn more or apply today, reach out in confidence to Nick via nick@venor.ca.
