Venor is proud to partner with our client, New Found Gold, in the recruitment of a Recruitment Coordinator. Based out of Gander, Newfoundland, New Found Gold holds a 100% interest in the Queensway Gold Project, as well as the recently acquired Hammerdown Operation, Pine Cove Operation and Nugget Pond Hydrometallurgical Gold Plant circuit. The company is committed to responsible exploration and mining, leveraging strong infrastructure and a skilled local workforce in Newfoundland and Labrador. 

As we scale up operations, we’re looking for a Recruitment Coordinator to support our hiring efforts across technical, operational, and corporate roles. Reporting to the HR Manager, this person will play a key role in supporting recruitment activities, building strong talent pipelines, and ensuring a positive candidate experience. You’ll balance people-facing work with research, writing, and administrative coordination.

Position Responsibilities:

• Review applications and conduct initial phone interviews and candidate screenings.
• Complete reference checks and support offer preparation.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with candidates and external recruitment partners.
• Track talent trends and support workforce planning initiatives.
• Draft and update job descriptions and recruitment collateral.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date data in the recruitment CRM/ATS.
• Support day-to-day recruitment operations and process improvements.

Qualifications:

• 1–3 years of experience in recruitment coordination, HR, or a similar role.
• Strong research and sourcing skills with attention to detail.
• Clear, professional writing and communication skills.
• High level of organization with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Comfort working with databases, spreadsheets, and reporting tools.
• A collaborative mindset and genuine interest in people and talent.
• Experience in mining, construction, or industrial organizations is considered an asset.
