Pursuant to the Workers’ Compensation Act, WCB NS provides workplace injury insurance to workers and employers in Nova Scotia. Every day, WCB employees work to reduce the human and financial impact of workplace injury. WCB works to prevent workplace injuries, but when it occurs, they are there to provide security from its impact to workers and their families.
WCB works with workplaces across the province to help prevent workplace injuries, and to establish strong return-to-work programs. When injury occurs, WCB supports injured workers to return to work in a safe and timely manner. WCB provides income replacement benefits, support rehabilitation and offer return-to-work assistance. WCB also provides extended benefits in cases where an injured worker is no longer able to work due to their workplace injury, and they support families in the wake of workplace tragedy.

About The Opportunity
The Relationship Manager (RM) serves as the key contact for the large workplaces in their portfolio across the province, and is instrumental in developing the WCB’s profile with customers. Stopping short of acting as an advocate, the RM guides the workplace through the workers’ compensation system as a trusted advisor all the time ensuring a clear understanding of the strategic importance of workplace safety and the importance of safe and timely return to work. The RM will share specific workplace knowledge with the integrated service team in order to provide the required service to meet the needs of the workplace. The RM will have to effect behavioral change in the workplace with respect to RTW and Prevention to achieve targeted outcomes.
The Relationship Manager is a respected industry advisor on prevention and RTW through working closely with best-practice leaders and industry/safety associations.
As an ideal candidate, you possess a university degree in health care, education, or social sciences. You will also have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in customer/account management and/or disability case management and/or return to work and/or occupational health and safety, along with a minimum of 4 years’ experience working at a senior responsibility level. Travel, including overnight stays, is a requirement of this position.

We offer a competitive compensation package including a salary range of $68,646 – $85,754
