Advatek Systems is a Maritime-based systems integrator with a primary focus on Weigh Scale technology and Automatic Identification and Data Capture systems. Since 1987, Advatek Systems has been based out of Moncton, NB while supporting a customer base across the Maritime provinces. Advatek provides the right mix of equipment, software, technical services and the expertise to craft a tailored solution to fulfill industry-specific business requirements. Our client has been a key partner to many of Atlantic Canada’s industry leaders in manufacturing, food production, lumber, aqua-farming, municipal and provincial governments as well as healthcare. Together they have developed a platform of IT products and services that serve as a toolkit for building affordable and robust solutions.

The Senior Director of Business Development works with external shareholders to lead growth strategy development and implementation while being the face of the company for strategic customer and vendor partner relationships. The role involves leading various aspects of business development and sales management. This includes collaborating with the management team to influence the company culture and adjusting the operational setup to accommodate increased workloads as the business expands. The Senior Director of Business Development will be responsible for achieving projected outcomes and providing regular reports to the ownership team. Additionally, they will work closely with the Ownership team and the Controller to create a growth strategy and monitor financial key performance indicators (KPIs) and trends.

As the ideal candidate, you have a proven track record of growth in a small business combined with experience selling in the industrial and manufacturing markets. Your deep experience and understanding of technology and its role in Advatek’s key markets will be critical to success in this position. Exceptional financial and business acumen, along with proven experience leading and achieving sales growth are required. The successful candidate will be highly motivated and self-disciplined with strong attention to detail. The Senior Director of Business Development will thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
