What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead Estimating Efforts: Oversee and direct the estimating process for large and complex projects, ensuring budgets and scopes are accurate and aligned with project goals.
- Advanced Risk Management: Perform in-depth risk assessments, identifying potential challenges and developing mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
- Project Planning: Develop detailed execution plans, including schedules, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Site Assessments & Strategic Leadership: Attend meetings and site visits to assess project complexities and determine the best approach to meet client and project objectives.
- Stakeholder Communication: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Market Intelligence: Stay informed on market trends and emerging opportunities across residential, industrial, and commercial sectors.
- Continuous Improvement: Embrace emerging technologies and industry best practices to enhance estimating methodologies and team efficiency.
- Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior estimators, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will be an accomplished Senior Estimator with a Diploma in Engineering Technology or a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, and a minimum of eight years of experience in construction estimating, including the leadership of large-scale projects. A Gold Seal Certification in Estimating or other relevant professional designations will be considered strong assets. You bring advanced proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, On-Screen Takeoff, and familiarity with Revit BIM.
You demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English—both written and verbal—with French language skills considered an advantage. Success in this role requires a combination of strategic thinking, leadership, and mentorship, as well as the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
