Discoverygarden is a leading provider of Digital Preservation and Asset Management Systems. From scans of telegrams sent by Babe Ruth held at the Baseball Hall of Fame Archives to construction photos of the Golden Gate Bridge housed at the San Francisco Public Library, they help organizations share and preserve their most prized digital assets. As a Software Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications. This role requires a solid background in software development and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
- Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure code quality, performance, and security.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Perform thorough testing and debugging of software applications.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance.
- Collaborate closely with various members of the development team to implement the company’s vision and achieve strategic goals.
- Take on additional responsibilities and tasks as needed to support the overall objectives and vision of the company.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
- 2-7 years of experience in software development.
- Proficiency in Drupal architecture, development, and customization.
- Familiarity in Islandora, PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and/or related web technologies are considered an asset.
- Knowledge of database management systems.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web services integration.
- Familiarity with cloud services and infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

As we’re open to various levels of experience, this role has a compensation range of $60,000 – $95,000.
