Venor is proud to partner with East Coast Docks in their search for a Special Project Sales Manager to join their growing team. East Coast Docks is in the dock solution business and provides premium quality dock and marine products to clients through their own direct to market locations, and a network of independent dealers from Ontario to Newfoundland. As the exclusive Eastern Canadian Distributor for EZ Dock, East Coast Docks is partnered with the industry leader in modular floating dock systems. EZ Dock has been providing best-in-class residential, commercial, industrial, and government solutions for the last 30 years.
Reporting to the Director of Sales, the Special Project Sales Manager is responsible for large, complex projects and will manage multiple ongoing projects. As the Special Project Sales Manager, you will develop sales opportunities and work with dealers to provide the best product for the job.
Key Responsibilities:
- Actively seek out new commercial opportunities and manage all leads to delegate where needed
- Effectively work with dealers on large projects (government/commercial)
- Participate in industry trade shows (some travel required)
- Visiting customer sites after project completion to ensure the highest standards are met and ensure customer satisfaction
- Draft and monitor tenders along with preparing drawings
- Schedule new projects based on all factors including current project schedule, product availability, environment considerations, site preparation, etc.
- Work with our warehouse and ordering teams on product availability
- Source, fabricate, or subcontract required custom components for projects in time for scheduled installation date
What We’re Looking For:
As the ideal candidate, you have 2+ years of sales experience combined with 2+ years in a project management position. You have strong foundational sales knowledge and have an excellent understanding of each step in the sales process used by the organization to convert customers. You are an excellent communicator and possess the ability to assimilate complex issues and use appropriate communication strategies to influence wide and diverse audiences.
As the successful candidate, you are well versed in effectively building long lasting and trusting customer relationships to act with the customer in mind when making any improvements. You are a systematic thinker with ability to translate broad goals into achievable steps while ensuring the optimal use of resources to meet those objectives. The successful candidate works collaboratively in a team environment and is passionate about helping co-workers to reach a common goal.
