Venor is proud to partner with Ironwood Homes in their search for a Structural Engineer (P.eng) to join their growing team in Woodstock, New Brunswick. Ironwood was established in 2018 with a vision of building exceptional manufactured homes for Atlantic Canada, Eastern Canada and Eastern US. (Manufactured Homes are synonymous with modular homes, prefab homes or prefabricated homes). Ironwood designs homes from top to bottom and is specialized in every area of residential housing; from floor plans, finishes and options to home construction such as framing, roofing, plumbing and heating.

As the Structural Engineer, you will play a key role in the growth of Ironwood Manufactured Homes and will be responsible for overseeing all in-house design and engineering for each project. You will ensure that structures are safe and will liaise with clients to design and plan projects for production based on a set of specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build structures based on technical specifications.
  • Ensure the integration and implementation of safety in structural documentation.
  • Manage multiple projects and support the team of Designers.
  • Track project progress and report to management on results.
  • Choose appropriate materials based on structural specifications to ensure product durability.
  • Oversee the product to ensure quality meets specifications.
  • Monitor on-site construction processes and supervise projects.

As the ideal candidate, you are a civil/structural engineer with a professional engineering designation (P.eng) combined with 5+ years of experience working in the construction industry. You are proficient using computer-aided design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and other BIM Software, along with hands-on experience using several construction methods and material. Experience in the manufactured homes industry is considered an asset.
