The Systems Analyst is a vital link between business requirements and technical solutions, responsible for designing, developing, and implementing information systems that drive organizational success. This role involves close collaboration with stakeholders to translate business needs into robust technology solutions, ensuring seamless integration, enhanced business processes, and adherence to organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Requirement Gathering and Analysis
- Develop a thorough understanding of relevant business areas to provide high-quality solutions. Use techniques such as interviews, workshops, surveys, and storyboards to gather and refine business requirements effectively.
Integration Design and Implementation
- Design, build, and manage integration flows, including APIs and file-based integrations. Collaborate with development and design teams to oversee the design and development of integration solutions and prototypes.
Sprint Management and Stakeholder Communication
- Lead sprint review meetings, guiding the team on priorities and actionable next steps, and present sprint outcomes to stakeholders.
Documentation and Testing
- Create essential documentation, including business cases, scope documentation, and process flows. Maintain technical documentation and self-service resources. Conduct and automate integration tests, load tests, and performance tests to ensure quality assurance.
User-Centric Development Guidance
- Serve as the customer advocate throughout the software development lifecycle, including user story creation, sprint planning, and backlog prioritization. Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to stakeholders in both verbal and written formats.
Feedback Analysis and Product Enhancement
- Assess feedback from sprint reviews, user input, and operational metrics to identify new product needs. Use stakeholder feedback to guide product development and improve integration features.
Governance and Quality Assurance
- Ensure adherence to project governance frameworks, maintaining and publishing governance documentation per Quality Audit standards.
Data Quality and System Monitoring
- Regularly assess data quality within systems, implementing processes to enhance data integrity and promote consistent usage.
Reporting and Ad Hoc Analysis
- Develop and customize reports, responding promptly to ad hoc reporting requests from business units.
Sales Support and Communication
- Support sales-related system initiatives, both system and process-related, and maintain clear communication regarding initiative status with relevant stakeholders.
Issue Resolution and Vendor Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for issue resolution, escalating to application vendors
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong ability to interpret complex business needs and translate them into actionable requirements.
- Expertise in problem-solving and data-driven analysis.
- Proficient with system integration technologies and data management.
- Clear communicator, capable of simplifying complex technical information for various audiences.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and planning tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
- Experience with CRM, financial systems, and sales organizations to align technical solutions with business strategies.
