Venor is partnering with O’Regan’s in their search for a Talent Acquisition Specialist. O’Regan’s owns and operates 20 new vehicle franchises in Nova Scotia including three Toyota, two Hyundai, two Kia, two Nissan, Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, GMC, Subaru and Volkswagen as well as the only BMW, Infiniti, Lexus, Mercedes-Benz and MINI franchises for Nova Scotia.  They also operate six used car centers, O’Regan’s National Leasing, a collision center, three auto detailing centers, a NAPA AutoPro and a car rental company.

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for enhancing and executing the recruitment strategy to attract top talent, managing the full-cycle recruitment process, and ensuring the organization’s hiring needs are met. They will work closely with leadership teams to build relationships within the business community, industry associations, and local stakeholders to support current and future recruitment initiatives. The role requires an individual with a strong commitment to achieving targets while maintaining a high level of candidate experience. 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Managing high-volume recruitment processes in fast-paced environments, ensuring targets and deadlines are consistently met.
  • Conducting effective interviews and selection processes using proven techniques to identify top talent.
  • Developing and implementing marketing and networking strategies to attract candidates across various industry sectors.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with industry professionals, associations, and local stakeholders to strengthen talent pipelines.
  • Leveraging a strong understanding of industry sectors and positions to match qualified candidates to business needs effectively.
  • Administering the new hire process from offer through to the onboarding process

Requirements include:

  • Post-secondary education in business, human resources, or a related field.
  • Experience in recruitment, particularly in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
  • Strong interviewing and selection skills, with knowledge of competency-based techniques.
  • Ability to develop and execute marketing and networking strategies to attract top talent.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with stakeholders, industry associations, and candidates.
  • High level of commitment to achieving targets, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Knowledge of various industry sectors and roles, enabling effective candidate placement.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle large volumes of applications.
