Technical Sales Representative

Venor is proud to partner with our client, Flowstar Industrial, to lead their search for a Technical Sales Representative.

Flowstar Industrial specializes in providing technically superior pumps and related rotating equipment and equipment across many industries in the manufacturing, municipal, and mining spaces. Flowstar’ Industrial’s long-standing relationships with our clients and OEMs have given us a depth of knowledge regarding pumps, sealing equipment, mixers, and other rotating equipment that sets us apart as a leader in our sector.

About the Role:

In this role, you’ll be essential to building strong customer relationships, driving revenue, expanding customer relationships, and fostering business growth. You will act as the primary point of contact for customers, owning the sales process from inquiry through delivery. Key responsibilities include:

  • Proactively responding to and converting customer inquiries into qualified sales opportunities
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers while identifying opportunities for growth
  • Preparing, presenting, and following up on competitive quotations to close business
  • Processing and expediting orders to meet customer timelines and revenue targets
  • Maintaining complete, accurate sales activity records, correspondence, partner data and documentation in SAP
  • Leveraging inventory-based quoting strategies to maximize win rates and order fulfillment speed
  • Inspecting products, when required, to ensure order accuracy and customer satisfaction
  • Partnering with procurement and internal teams to track orders, remove roadblocks, and ensure on-time delivery
  • Proactively communicating order status and delivery schedules to maintain customer confidence
  • Identifying and resolving delivery issues, warranty claims, returns, and customer concerns quickly and professionally
  • Participating in sales meetings to provide pipeline visibility, order updates, and forecasts
  • Continuously building technical and product expertise to strengthen credibility and sales effectiveness
  • Taking on additional responsibilities that support sales growth and customer success

Who You Are:

You are a driven, results-oriented Outside Sales Representative with a strong track record of winning business and securing product orders from both existing and new customers. You thrive in a customer-facing role, build trust quickly, and know how to turn opportunities into revenue.

You’re organized, decisive, and motivated by performance, balancing multiple opportunities while keeping a sharp focus on growth, responsiveness, and closing deals.

Preferred Experience:

  • Post-secondary education in engineering, instrumentation, or a related technical field.
  • 2–5 years of B2B sales experience, ideally selling rotating equipment, valves, instrumentation, or other technically complex products.
  • Strong understanding of technical specifications, product applications, and industrial processes.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP or similar ERP systems, including managing orders, quotes, and customer data.
  • Ability to translate technical knowledge into practical solutions that meet customer needs.
