Founded in 1980, CGIS is an industry leader in Severe Service Valves (SSVs). With over 40 years of expertise, CGIS has helped shape the valve automation industry through technical innovation, industry veterans, and a strong commitment to continuous learning. Reporting to the Territory Manager, the Technical Sales Representative will play a key role in driving growth across Eastern GTA through to Ottawa. This role combines consultative selling, technical expertise, and relationship building to deliver innovative valve, automation, and service solutions. You’ll work with clients across Mining, Oil & Gas, Power, Pulp & Paper, Refining, and Water/Wastewater industries, always promoting CGIS’s belief that “the application dictates the valve.”

What You’ll Do:
- Drive sales growth through consultative, solution-focused selling.
- Build long-term relationships with engineering, OEM, and end-user clients.
- Provide technical expertise, resolve product challenges, and deliver tailored solutions.
- Collaborate with Technical Specialists and inside sales to ensure customer success.
- Represent vendors with professionalism and enthusiasm, including travel within the territory
What You Bring:
- 3+ years of outside sales experience in the industrial industry.
- A degree/diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- Strong technical aptitude, problem-solving mindset, and business acumen.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- A valid driver’s license and readiness to travel across the GTA.
