WCB Nova Scotia is looking for a Technical Systems Analyst (TSA) to join their team and to support their Information Technology Services Group. Reporting to the Manager, IT Operations, the TSA is the authoritative expert at the WCB in their technical area. The TSA Team provides Tier 2 operational support and is responsible for the integrity and availability of the entire WCB technical infrastructure, as well as integrations with external providers. The TSA is a self-motivated individual with a depth of technical experience which should include numerous aspects of Information Technology. Along with leading smaller upgrade projects for their technical area, the TSA will advise and educate employees and leaders on their areas of expertise as well as mentor Tier 1 support resources and other members of the ITS Team. They also demonstrate proven experience with the following technology:

  • Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive)
  • Mobile Device Management (Intune)
  • Active Directory / Azure Active Directory – Group Policies and Conditional Access
  • Windows Server

About you

  • You possess strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills and can effectively manage multiple, concurrent, and conflicting priorities and deadlines
  • Experience with security and compliance (Microsoft Defender Suite, Sentinel, data loss prevention) is an asset
  • Experience with SaaS, IaaS, and PaaS in Microsoft Azure or other cloud providers is an asset
  • Installing, configuring, and managing VMware virtual environments and Citrix Virtual Apps is an asset

AND

  • A university degree in computer science or related field, such as mathematics, engineering or physics, plus 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in IT Infrastructure

OR

  • A university degree plus completion of a one year certificate program in IT from a recognized technical school, plus 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in IT Infrastructure.

OR

  • Graduation from a community college or technical school two or three year program in IT, plus 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in IT Infrastructure.

WCB Nova Scotia offers a comprehensive overall compensation package including a salary range of $68,648 – $85,755. An offer of employment is conditional upon obtaining a satisfactory security (criminal record) check.
