Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Travel Advisor is responsible for assessing Members’ needs to provide travel solutions through the delivery of appropriate CAA (Atlantic) products and services. The selected candidate will proactively manage an existing book of business and develop new client opportunities with the goal of selling travel and attaining revenue targets. The Travel Advisor will provide travel information to individuals/groups regarding destinations, transportation, accommodations, travel costs, travel insurance, and process all applicable reservations.
As the ideal candidate, you have post-secondary travel courses or previous agency experience. Eligibility to earn or possession of a CTC/CTM certification or completion of core CAA education programs is considered an asset. You possess a proficient knowledge of travel technology applications, an in-depth knowledge of international travel products, destinations, and services, and an understanding of the benefits of CAA products and services. You are a strong communicator and are confident in your ability to present information on travel destinations at meetings or theme events, and negotiate details with tour operators, airline personnel, car rental agencies and hotel staff. You have an unsurpassed commitment to customer service and sales and conduct yourself in a manner that portrays fairness, honesty, and integrity.
