Venor is proud to partner with Cape Bald Packers in their search for a Truck and Trailer Mechanic to join their team in Cap-Pelé, New Brunswick.
Cape Bald Packers is a well-established seafood processing company rooted in the coastal community of Cap-Pelé. Reporting to the maintenance team, the Truck and Trailer Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining and repairing the company’s fleet of heavy-duty vehicles.
What you’ll be doing
- Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on mechanical and electrical systems of heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and buses.
- Conduct vehicle testing and road tests to ensure repairs have been completed successfully and equipment is operating safely.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Maintain and manage parts inventory, ensuring required components are available to complete repairs efficiently.
- Work collaboratively with the maintenance team to ensure the company’s fleet remains operational, safe, and compliant.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace within the company garage.
What we are looking for
- Apprentice or Licensed Truck and Trailer Technician designation.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and repair heavy-duty vehicles.
- Experience using hand tools and power tools in a mechanical or maintenance environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
