Reporting to the President & CEO, the Vice President, Finance and Risk is a strategic partner within the business and an important member of the Leadership Team. The VP, Finance and Risk will be responsible for leading the Finance team and processes as the company pursues its business strategy and a sustainable growth plan. This is an opportunity to be an innovative change leader with the modernization of finance systems, processes and approaches. This role has a great deal of flexibility and can be based out of New Brunswick, Nova Scotia or Prince Edward Island.

The VP, Finance and Risk is responsible for high-level financial analyses to support strategic and operational business functions. As a hands-on leader, the successful candidate will play an active role in overseeing day-to-day operations while balancing the long-term goals of the business. You’ll have oversight of the enterprise risk program, investments and financial results of the organization. As a result, you’ll be responsible for regular reporting and regularly presenting to the Board of Directors.

As the ideal candidate, you have a CPA designation combined with a minimum of five years 5 + years in a similar progressive financial role. You have experience as a senior member of a management team with demonstrated capabilities in executing strategy with a proven track record in overall financial and organizational management. The successful candidate will be a people- focused leader who works collaboratively to achieve departmental and corporate results through team engagement and development. Excellent communication skills, a cooperative mindset, and an innovative, continuous improvement approach are a must!

The VP, Finance and Risk will be required to travel regionally, nationally and internationally from time to time.
