Venor is proud to partner with our client, Sabian, in their search for a Vice President of Finance. A global leader in the manufacture and marketing of cymbals and world percussion instruments, Sabian, sells and markets products to over 90 countries. They take great pride in their products and have chosen to retain the traditional methods of handcrafting instruments to ensure superior quality and sound in relation to their competitors.
Reporting to the COO in a senior leadership role, the Vice President of Finance will have overall responsibility for financial reporting, accounting, IT and Human Resource functions within the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Effective leadership, management & accountability
- Optimal capital structure (Balance sheet)
- Accurate and timely financial reporting
- Establishment of policies
- Compliance with standards and regulations
- Treasury and risk management
As the ideal candidate, you have a bachelor of Commerce or BBA as well as a CPA designation, paired with a minimum of ten years experience in a leadership role. Experience in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment, along with a Six Sigma certification is considered an asset. Strong communication, detail orientation, and a high level of business acumen & professionalism are some of the competencies you exhibit on a daily basis. You are a decisive goal-oriented leader with a natural curiosity toward creative problem-solving, and a proactive focus on continuous improvement and strategic thinking.
