Venor is proud to partner with Tour Tech East in their search for a Workforce Operations Supervisor in Dartmouth, NS. This role is central to supporting workforce coordination, human resources operations, and labour planning within a fast-paced technical production environment.

As operations expand, this position plays an important role in strengthening workforce coordination, supporting compliance, and ensuring teams are equipped to deliver successful projects.

What You’ll Be Doing

In this role, you will act as a key coordination link between Human Resources, Operations, and field teams, ensuring labour planning, staffing execution, and HR processes are aligned to support successful project delivery and a positive workplace culture.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead workforce coordination and labour planning to support the successful execution of events and technical production projects.
  • Assign and deploy labour resources across teams, ensuring staffing aligns with project scope, timelines, and operational priorities.
  • Oversee workforce scheduling and labour tracking, utilizing scheduling and workforce management tools while supporting the continued development of effective scheduling processes.
  • Recruit, onboard, and place technical staff and labour personnel to meet evolving operational needs.
  • Support training and role development initiatives to build a skilled, reliable workforce.
  • Partner closely with Sales and Operations teams to align staffing strategies with business objectives and client deliverables.
  • Contribute to labour negotiations and staffing strategy discussions to support efficient resource allocation.
  • Manage day-to-day workforce operations while helping build scalable HR and labour coordination processes from the ground up.
  • Develop, update, and maintain labour-related policies and procedures to support compliance, consistency, and effective workforce management.
  • Maintain compliance with employment legislation, workplace standards, and health & safety requirements.
  • Prepare workforce insights and operational reports for the General Manager to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Act as a key liaison between employees, field teams, and leadership, fostering clear communication and a positive workplace culture.
