Jessica brings a strong recruitment skillset, including project management, planning and organization, with her ability to establish an ideal match between clients and candidates. Her diverse experience in full cycle recruitment has provided Jessica with an opportunity to recruit various types of roles for different organizations and clients. To date, Jessica has successfully recruited work term students; entry level, unionized, and managerial positions; as well as executive leaders for a variety of different industries in her hometown of St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador.
Before taking on her current role, Jessica was a Recruitment Specialist for Meridia Recruitment Solutions (A KBRS Company) and an Executive Recruiter at KBRS (formerly Knightsbridge Robertson Surrette).
Previous to her work at KBRS, Jessica was a Staffing Specialist and Human Resources Consultant at Eastern Health. She was responsible for awarding over 130 internal seniority-based positions and recruiting approximately 130 candidates to the regional health authority at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Prior to joining Eastern Health, Jessica was the Human Resources and Facilities Coordinator at Provident10.
Upon graduating from business school, Jessica was the Human Resources Coordinator at Nalcor Energy, Power Supply Division, and was responsible for hiring unionized and non-unionized roles for the Muskrat Falls and Soldiers Pond construction sites.
Jessica’s start in human resources and recruitment began as part of her Bachelor of Commerce (Co-operative) program, where she completed three work terms as Nalcor Energy’s Human Resources Student for the Lower Churchill Project. During that time period, she hired approximately 65 work term students to the Project.
Jessica believes in providing the best experience for everyone throughout the entire recruitment process. To achieve this, she strives to understand the needs and desires of both clients and candidates in order to foster a successful partnership that will contribute to the overall success of the organization for years to come.
Jessica holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Co-operative, Honors) degree with a concentration in Human Resources & Labour Relations, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology with a minor in Psychology from Memorial University of Newfoundland. She earned her Registered Professional Recruiter designation in 2020 from the IPM Institute of Professional Management and is a member of the Association of Professional Recruiters of Canada.
