Shaq is a North Preston native, who received his Business Technology Management (BTM) Degree, from Acadia University in 2016. During his time at Acadia, he spent five years playing varsity basketball for the Acadia Axemen, where he was the recipient of the 2016 AUS Student-Athlete Community Service Award. Shaq is a community leader with a knack for digital marketing and strategic planning. Over the past four years, Shaq has gained experience working in the fast-paced agency world, for a digital marketing firm headquartered in Halifax, Nova Scotia. During his time in the agency space, he had honed his expertise to work with local and national brands from a full 360 view. Whether it was strategic media planning, campaign execution, ad operations, martech, or analytics and reporting, Shaq was there to support his clients and drive their successes. Outside of his day to day, Shaq is very involved in the local community. Over the past few years, Shaq has spearheaded a $300,000 project in his hometown of North Preston, which consists of the construction of a new full-size, professional-grade basketball court. This project stemmed from his own journey as a student-athlete in University, he hopes the new court will inspire and motivate the next generation of youth. Shaq is young, hungry, and determined to find and explore innovative solutions for his clients whenever he can.
