Venor is proud  to partner with Bertram Construction in their search for a Construction Manager in Moncton, New Brunswick. 

Bertram Construction is part of the Construction division within its parent company Terraine Capital.  Terraine Capital is an investment company rooted in Real-Estate & Business Development and is involved in Real-Estate, Building Supplies, Manufacturing, Landscaping, Hospitality, and Construction. 

Reporting to the Director of Construction and Development. The Construction Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. You will be the key point of contact between clients, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders, providing leadership and direction to ensure successful project delivery.

What you’ll be doing

  • Oversee and manage the on-site construction activities
  • Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standards
  • Collaborate with Project Coordinator to maintain project budgets and timelines
  • Review and interpret construction plans, schematics, and blueprints
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and quality of work
  • Liaise with local Building Inspectors regarding approvals
  • Place orders for materials and equipment

As the successful candidate you will have a degree in a construction-related discipline. Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory / project manager role. Experience in General Contracting; direct project management or project coordination of commercial projects. Engineering background is an asset.

As an ideal candidate you will have strong analytical and proven problem-solving skills. The ability to work independently and under deadlines with a focus on details and results. Ability to respond to periodic variable workloads and superior communication skills.
