Full Stack Developer

Venor is proud to partner with our client on their search for a Full Stack Developer. Our client is a prominent aviation company based out of St. John’s, Newfoundland. This is a contract position.

What You’ll Be Doing
In this role, you will collaborate with the client team to create and enhance web-based applications. Your technical proficiency and creative problem-solving skills will be key in delivering high-quality software and database solutions that meet their operational needs.

Regular responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop user-friendly and responsive web applications
  • Utilize your expertise in XML and JSON data formats to ensure seamless data integration
  • Develop Web APIs to connect front-end interfaces with back-end services
  • Host and manage applications on IIS servers to ensure optimal performance and availability
  • Utilize version control tools like TFS/Azure DevOps Server for efficient collaboration
  • Create high quality and well-documented code using Next.JS, Microsoft ASP.NET and SQL Server, following departmental processes and standards
  • Test to ensure application integrates with other internal applications

Safety and Quality Responsibilities: 

  • Practice, actively promote, and monitor workplace safety
  • Be familiar with and comply with the company SMS and HSE policies and procedures
  • Be responsible for knowing, understanding, and complying with the workplace requirements for day-to-day operations
  • Report hazards
  • Wear the proper personal protective equipment (PPE) when required

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 2-year diploma from a recognized Technical College in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a Full Stack Developer
  • Proven experience with XML and JSON data formats
  • Strong proficiency in developing Web APIs
  • Familiarity with hosting and managing applications on IIS servers
  • Solid skills in modern JavaScript frameworks, particularly Next.js
  • Proficiency in developing with ASP.NET for creating dynamic web applications
  • Strong ability to work with SQL Server databases, writing efficient queries
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Experience PowerShell and version control systems like TFS/Azure DevOps Server considered an asset
