Venor Adds Five Strong Female Employees in Six Months

Gender equality continues to progress in the recruiting industry, and what was once assumed a male-dominated industry has balanced and become more equal. Women are taking the recruiting industry by storm, and in turn, contribute to building a stronger workplace. In the last six months, Venor has added five new female team members, with no signs of slowing down.

In December, we welcomed Anna Bryant, a passionate recruiter with a flair for building relationships, to our Halifax Tech Team who would work closely alongside Partners Craig Coady, Nick Misener, and IT Recruitment Specialist, Steph MacIntosh, recruiting for some of the province’s top IT companies.

Shortly afterwards, Andrea Murray joined us and brought with her a variety of past experiences recruiting new graduates at IBM. She joined Partner Erika Hildebrand, along with Recruitment Specialists Rose MacAuley and Tommy Grant recruiting in both the engineering and manufacturing sector.

In the month of May, Venor welcomed three new employees to our offices in both Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. Joining Senior Consultant, Alex Armsworthy, recruiting top talent in Moncton is Alisha Dsouza, a Master’s student from Crandall University. Alisha has 10 years of experience in the recruiting industry and has worked with a variety of diverse industries, including hospitality, finance, engineering, and construction.

Nada Halawa and Leah Fassett have also joined the growing team at Venor. With Nada working directly alongside Venor’s co-founder, Ian Sullivan, aiding with executive recruitment sourcing and outreach, and Leah providing administrative support and managing the day-to-day operations of the Halifax office.

As the firm continues to grow, Craig Coady reflects on how, in an exceptionally competitive market, Venor continues to add A+ players to its roster.

“With the market for talent as incredibly tight as it is these days, we are honored that so many experienced and aspiring recruitment professionals have chosen Venor to grow their careers. These talented individuals could choose to work anywhere and make a strong contribution to their employers, but we believe they recognize they have a bigger impact at Venor, both on our brand and the companies we partner with. We have something special growing in Atlantic Canada, and we never take for granted that our people are the primary reason for our success.”
